Frequently Asked Questions
What’s your turnaround time?
Proofs will be delivered within 48 hours of your shoot. From then, final images will be delivered within 2 weeks.
What’s your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
Sessions can be rescheduled given 48 hours notice. Sessions that take place in a studio are subject to that studio’s rescheduling policy, and a rescheduling studio fee may apply. Rescheduled sessions must take place within 3 months of the original session date or a new deposit will be required. Deposits for last minute cancellations or no-shows will be forfeited. Rescheduling due to bad weather will be done at my discretion, if the weather will truly affect photo quality.
Do I have to be a model to shoot with you?
I get asked this question a lot, and the answer is no. You do not need to be a professional model to shoot with me. Regardless of your experience in front of the camera, I will help make you feel at ease with guided posing and reassurance throughout your session.
How much information do you need from me when reaching out?
When you are ready to send me a message, please include as much as the following details as possible:
A bit about yourself (name, age, city, experience)
Session Type
Which package you’re interested in (as listed on my pricing page)
Whether you would like to shoot indoors or outdoors
Your budget for any add-on services like hair and makeup
Anything else you would like me to know!
Do you recommend any locations?
Yes, I can provide a number of recommendations for indoor studio-style shoots or outdoor locations in the Indianapolis or northern Central Indiana area (Fishers, Carmel, Noblesville, etc.). Please note when you reach out what type of vibe you’re going for and if you have any locations in mind already.
How do I add on professional hair and makeup application to my shoot?
You may want to add on hair and makeup for a variety of reasons. If so, please note that you would like to inquire about hair and makeup services in your initial email. I will provide you with several vendor recommendations and their contact information. You can then contact them and book with them directly.
Can I bring another person with me to my photoshoot?
If you are a minor, you are required to bring a guardian or trusted adult with you to the shoot.
If you are over 18, you can bring a guest. HOWEVER, they should not intrude upon the session in any way whatsoever. This includes making distracting comments, side conversations, offering posing guidance, or taking photos of my setup, even with a phone camera. Guests are encouraged to wait in a separate area to prevent disrupting our time together.
Can I get the RAW photos?
I do not offer RAW photos because they do not match the quality or style of photography shown in my portfolio, which is why you hired me. Please do not hire me if you are expecting a different photography style than what is showcased on my website and social media.
Where should I print my photos?
Any professional online printing service, such as MPix or Nations Photo Lab. Stay away from stores such as Walmart, CVS, or Walgreens.
How far in advance should I book a shoot?
Ideally, you would book your shoot at least 2 weeks in advance. It really depends on a number of factors, such as if you are hiring a full team for hair, makeup, and/or styling.
How many photos will I get?
The number of photos included in a session is listed on my pricing page. If you’re unsure, please ask in your initial inquiry. You will receive a gallery after your shoot with ALL of the best shots we took, however not all of these will be included in the final delivery. Only a select number of images will be delivered depending on the amount you’ve paid for.
Do you travel?
Yes. Any location farther away than 30 minutes from where I live will incur travel expenses based on the standard mileage rate.
