FAQ
rescheduling / cancellation policy
Rescheduling: Your booking fee can be applied towards ONE free reschedule, with at least 48 hours notice. After that, a new booking fee will be required to secure a new session date. Rescheduled sessions must take place within 1 month of the original session date.
Cancellations: There are no refunds for cancellations. If you are a no-show, or you are more than 20 minutes late to your session, you will be considered a cancellation and all moneys paid will be ineligible for a refund. The booking fee reserves my time specifically for your session, which is time I cannot offer as available to other potential clients.
NOTE: If you have booked a session in a studio, you are subject to THAT STUDIO'S rescheduling/cancellation policy regarding the studio fees. For example, for your one free reschedule, you would NOT need to pay a rescheduling fee to me, however you MAY be obligated to pay an additional booking fee to the studio. When in doubt, ask me for clarification on these details.
weather policy
Indiana weather can be unpredictable. When you book a shoot outdoors, we will agree upon a backup date in the event of unsuitable weather conditions. The decision of whether or not to reschedule due to the weather will be entirely up to the photographer. If you have any issues with this policy, you are welcome to book a studio as a backup indoor option, at your expense. The booking fee is non-refundable; being uncooperative in the event we would need to reschedule will result in moneys paid being forfeited, and treated as a cancellation.
turnaround time
You will receive a soft-proofed gallery within 48 hours of your shoot, and the final, edited images within 14 days of receiving your selections. This applies to almost all shoot types, with the exception of volume projects larger in scope (or beauty shoots with intensive retouching).
image selection process
1. Selection:
After your shoot, you will receive a Proofing Gallery (sometimes called a Selection Gallery). What is a proof?
Proofs are preliminary, lightly edited, or unedited, low-resolution images provided to clients to review, select, and purchase from a photoshoot.
2. Editing:
The selected images undergo full, high-quality editing.
3. Final Delivery:
The edited, high-resolution images are delivered to the client.
IMPORTANT: Proofs are intended for private viewing, shared only with family and friends to help pick favorites. Sharing on social media is not allowed. Only selected, edited images will be delivered as the final product.
can i bring a guest?
Yes, you can bring ONE guest along with you to the shoot. If you are under 18, you MUST bring a parent or caregiver along with you to the shoot, and they must stay the entire time. Guests must not interfere with the shoot in any way, as it is distracting and time consuming. No over-the-shoulder shots allowed and no other professional cameras are allowed. Behind the scenes phone photos and video are allowed, provided they don't interfere with my ability to work efficiently.
